Disneyland Advertises ‘Loki’ With Image of Miss Minutes on “it’s a small world” Clock Face

On Thursday, Disney Parks shared an image of Miss Minutes from “Loki” taking over the “it’s a small world” clock face at Disneyland.

Disney wrote, “Welcome to Disneyland, y’all! We had a surprise visitor at it’s a small world this morning, just for a minute…”

“Loki” episodes are currently airing on Disney+ each Thursday, so the Miss Minutes image is probably just an ad for tonight’s new episode, maybe teasing the return of Miss Minutes. It could also hint at a new “Loki”-inspired projection show on the attraction façade, but this is unlikely. The moving Miss Minutes image is superimposed onto an image of “it’s a small world” — it’s not a real projection — and Marvel offerings don’t appear at Disneyland.

Loki and O.B. from “Loki” are currently appearing in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. See our video of the characters below.

‘Loki’ Season 2

The God of Mischief is portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, who has been playing the character since “Thor” in 2011. The variant of Loki in the show was pulled out of time after the Battle of New York, following the time-travel shenanigans in “Avengers: Endgame.” In season 1, he’s captured by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and must help them track down a mischievous variant of himself. In season 2, he seeks to stop Kang the Conquerer from taking over all of time and space, having encountered Kang’s variant He Who Remains at the end of season 1.

New this season is O.B., portrayed by Academy Award-winner Ke Huy Quan. Owen Wilson returns as Mobius M. Mobius, as does Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Eugene Cordero as Casey, and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie. Miss Minutes is voiced by Tara Strong.

“it’s a small world”

“it’s a small world” was built for the 1964 New York World’s Fair and debuted in the Fantasyland section of Disneyland Park in 1966. An attraction now synonymous with Disney Parks and Walt Disney Imagineering, the boat ride promotes messages of unity and acceptance as guests see dolls depicting children from around the globe singing “It’s a Small World,” a song written by the Sherman Brothers.

Versions of “it’s a small world” were opening day attractions at Magic Kingdom, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland Park in Paris. A version opened at Hong Kong Disneyland in 2008.

The Disneyland version will close on October 23, 2023, to become “it’s a small world” Holiday for the winter. The seasonal overlay debuted at Disneyland Park in 1997. With last year’s overlay, dolls in wheelchairs were added to the ride.
