REVIEW: Is This Disney World Bar the Best Hidden Gem We’ve Found All Year?

When planning your restaurant stops for your Disney World vacation, you might want to add this one to the list.

The Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs

Some of the best food you’ll find in Disney World will be found outside of the theme parks. You might have heard of restaurants at Disney Springs or Disney Resorts like Homecomin’, ‘Ohana, or Steakhouse 71. But, there’s a little bar and grill we bet you haven’t heard of, and we’re telling you if it’s worth the effort to get here.

Today, we’re taking you along with us to Coronado Springs Resort for dinner at Three Bridges Bar and Grill to try some new menu items.

Atmosphere

Three Bridges Bar and Grill is located on the water at Disney’s Coronado Spring Resort. You will be surrounded by water providing you a gorgeous view of the resort. And guess what, there are 3 bridges that connect from around the resort to the restaurant.

Three Bridges Bar and Grill

Our table had great views, and we loved that the whole area is covered. This is great for those unpredictable rain storms that pop up, which did happen as we were eating. While there isn’t a ton of decor in the restaurant, we appreciate it. The wooden furniture and brown accents allow for the view to speak for itself.

Our table

Menu

Three Bridges Bar & Grill is a casual restaurant serving upscale, Spanish-inspired bar food like queso, braised pork tacos, and other shared plates and burgers. The robust beverage menu features specialty cocktails and sangria which can be ordered by the pitcher.

While the menu isn’t very large, we feel like it would still cater to a wide audience with a range of preferences.

Drinks

There were TWO new drinks that we wanted to try — Tropical Coconut Cooler and Cold Brew Old Fashioned.

Coconut Tropical Cooler and Cold Brew Old Fashioned

The Tropical Coconut Cooler is a non-alcoholic drink. It has Cream of Coconut, Pineapple, Orange, and Lime. This drink is fruity and has a strong coconut flavor with a slight hint of orange. If love coconut, this drink is for you. You can order it for $5.99.

Tropical Coconut Cooler

Next, we ordered the Cold Brew Old Fashioned. This has SelvaRey Chocolate Rum, Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur, Joffrey’s Mexican Femenino Cold Brew, and Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters. Old Fashioned fans might be shocked by this because it is not your typical old fashioned. First, it’s made with rum instead of whiskey. This was very smooth and had a strong chocolate flavor. This would make a great dessert drink.

Cold Brew Old Fashioned

Food

First, we ordered the Fried Chicken Bao Buns. These have lime mayo, sweet-and-spicy gochujang sauce, ‘kimchi’ pickles, and radish. They come with two buns, and they pack a lot of flavor into that small serving.

Fried Chicken Bao Buns

The pickles add a tanginess that pairs nicely with the lime mayo. The chicken was nicely fried and had a good crunch to it. It is a great start to your meal, but it’s hard to really share these since they are small portions. You get two buns for $14, which is pricey for the serving size in our opinion.

Fried Chicken Bao Buns

For entrees, we started with the Pork Carnitas Tacos for $22. These come for you to assemble on your own, which can be fun. These come with cotija cheese, pickled vegetables, black beans and rice. The corn tortillas come warm and wrapped in napkins to keep the heat. These tasted freshly made. The pork is very tender and flavorful. It was well marinated. The rice and beans didn’t have a ton of flavor on their own but were a nice filler for the taco.

Pork Carnita Tacos

They come with 3 salsas including chipotle-pineapple salsa, tomatillo salsa verde, and salsa borracha. The chipotle-pineapple salsa is the least spicy with the salsa borracha being most spicy. We loved the complex flavor of the chipotle-pineapple salsa. The pineapple worked very well with the pork.

Salsas

Some might not like assembling the tacos themselves. We understand that the restaurant is allowing guests to fill their taco up with all of their favorite items and skip the ones that wouldn’t like to use. Overall, this dish was good, but it wasn’t the best tacos we’ve had on property.

Tacos

Our second entree was the Three Bridges Signature Burger. This massive burger came with bacon marmalade, sun-dried tomato jam, smoked gouda queso, crispy vegetables, arugula, and smoked paprika fries for $22.

Signature Burger

If you come here hungry, order this burger. It is loaded with delicious ingredients and will have you full. The highlight for us was the bacon marmalade and sun-dried tomato jam. These two sauces added so much to the sandwich — giving it a sweet and spicy taste. Plus the queso — how could you go wrong?! It is large and messy, so just be prepared to use a lot of napkins.

She’s BIG

Finally, for dessert we got an order of the Warm Churros. We know, we know, Disney World is NOT known for great churros. But these, we might say, are some of the best churros on property. These are coated in espelette sugar and come with three sauces — spiced chocolate sauce, tequila caramel, and mango-chamoy sauce.

Warm Churros

The spiced chocolate is similar to a Mexican Hot Chocolate flavor profile. It was our favorite, and we couldn’t stop dunking our churros in it. The tequila caramel is for tequila fans because you really can taste the alcohol in this one. As for the mango-chamoy sauce, it had a fruity flavoring with a very tangy aftertaste. For just $10, these churros make a great snack or dessert. The Cold Brew Old Fashioned we had at the start of the meal would pair really well with these!

The spiced chocolate dipping sauce was our favorite!

Overall

The atmosphere at Three Bridges is great, with gorgeous views of the resort. The staff here was amazing, truly. We came on the first day of the new menu items, and our server was very knowledgable about them already. She made sure we knew what each item came with, She was passionate about the new items, and it made us excited to try them. The food is delicious and packed with taste. We were happy with how well everything was prepared for it to be a “bar” experience.

Nosh or Not

Head here if …

  • You love a more casual dining atmosphere. The views alone provide a relaxing environment, but the bar area can get loud with other guests watching sports games on the TVs. If you are looking for somewhere casual, this is a great choice.
  • You LOVE churros. But really, we would come back here for the churros alone. We said what we said.
  • You are staying on property. Since Three Bridges does not take dining reservations, you won’t be able to park your car at the resort. You’ll want to catch a bus from either the theme parks or Disney Springs to the hotel.

You can probably skip this if…

  • You are on a tight schedule. Since Three Bridges does not take dining reservations, you will have to take Disney transportation to get to Coronado Springs. This could take time out of your schedule and if you are trying to cram a lot in, you might want to skip and hit a restaurant in the parks instead.
  • You want a more upscale dining experience. This restaurant is known for their handheld food options and while tasty, is not the upscale experience you might be looking for. Instead, we recommend checking out Narcooossee’s at The Grand Floridian or California Grill at The Contemporary Resort.
