Disney World’s New “Bat” Treat Is Ridiculous (and We Love It)

It’s Halloween season — and you know what that means!

Sunshine Seasons

It’s time to enjoy the last few days of spooky season before Christmas takes over Disney World (and it already is in some places). That means enjoying the last few days of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the Mickey Pumpkin wreaths, and the Halloween snacks. But we just found a NEW Halloween snack that…well…seems a bit familiar.

So, not too long ago, we had a Figment-themed Raspberry “Lemonade” Tart. This is what it looked like:

Raspberry “Lemonade” Tart

Now, why exactly are we mentioning that? Because we stumbled upon a new treat and, well, there’s something that’s EXACTLY the same about it. Hmm…those wings look familiar, right? Yep, these are the wings from the Figment treat!

Those wings!

But we digress; the new treat is Bat Mousse, and it’s made with tri-colored layers of Candy Corn-flavored White Chocolate Mousse with Dark Chocolate Glaçage and “Bat” Wings. Yep, now they’re bat wings and not Figment wings. 😂 Points for creativity, Disney!

The eyes!

We will tell you this, though — the chocolate mousse is delicious. It’s more of a dark chocolate, so you get a bit of a bitter taste that balances well with the sweeter white chocolate. If you’re averse to candy corn, though, you only really get a hint of that flavor. The mousse also had a smooth consistency. We’d say this is a MUST for chocolate lovers.

The mousse is good, though

But we still have to talk about those wings. They don’t add anything to the snack, and we thought they were a little too much like a white chocolate fondant, which we are not big fans of. We also didn’t care for the green icing wrapped around the bottom because it tasted like that cheap gel icing no one actually likes. This would’ve been better with regular chocolate wings (that actually match the colors of the dessert) and no icing.

Overall, though, we’d eat this again and just leave the wings and gel icing on the plate. The Bat Mousse is available now for a limited time at Sunshine Seasons for $5.49, which makes it a pretty good value.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more Halloween treats, so stay tuned to DFB for more reviews.
