Something NEW Arrived on Main Street, U.S.A. for Disney’s 100th Anniversary — It Might Make You Cry!

The Walt Disney Company is still celebrating its 100th Anniversary — as they should because 100 years is a BIG DEAL.

Disneyland

The celebration in Disneyland started early this year, but the festivities just kicked off in EPCOT. We’re still seeing a ton of Disney100 merchandise, too. We recently saw something NEW added to a classic Disney attraction in honor of the 100th.

We were spending some time in Disneyland recently and decided to check out the classic attraction “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.” For those not in the know, this is a stage show with an audio-animatronic President Abraham Lincoln. It was originally an attraction at the New York World’s Fair in 1964, but it was recreated for Disneyland and opened there in 1965.

Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

The attraction is technically now known as The Disneyland Story, presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. With its long history, it’s the PERFECT place to celebrate the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary, right? Well, as we were entering the building, we noticed that the 100th Anniversary short, Once Upon A Studio, was currently playing inside the theater.

This short is just SO good

You know, it’s that short that Disney just released that had us ALL CRYING!

We love you, Mickey

But, seriously, UGLY tears, y’all.

CRYING

So if you need a good cry while you’re in Disneyland (for whatever reason — we don’t judge), head to Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln to watch the short as many times as you’d like. It really is a great tribute to the company and its long history.

Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
