Have you thought about all the changes happening at Disney World? I mean, really thought about it?

As you know, there are a TON of changes that have been happening at Disney World. So, we wanted to find out what your thoughts were about which change you were MOST looking forward to. We asked and boy, did you deliver!

We reached out to our followers on Facebook to ask: “Which upcoming Disney World change are you MOST looking forward to?” The results were pretty varied. We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments.

What do you think?

Now, let’s dive into the results!

1. Park Hopping (All-Day and No Restrictions)

The most excitement in the responses was the change to park hopping!

You could park hop to EPCOT via the Monorail quickly from Magic Kingdom

Many folks want more flexible and unrestricted park hopping just like they were used to pre-pandemic, where they could visit multiple parks throughout the day without limitations. Those restrictions are being lifted on January 9th, 2024! You said it right when one of you mentioned, “All day park hopping. The 2pm restriction should have been removed months ago.”

2. Price Concerns (Lower Prices/Price Decreases)

So many of you mentioned Disney World’s prices!

As you can imagine price is on many people’s minds especially since, let’s face it, Disney World tickets aren’t cheap. A lot were hoping for lower prices and others expressing concerns about potential price increases. I think this comment sums it up best: “The across the board price cuts once they figure out cutting out anyone not rich is a bad business model.”

3. No More Park Reservations

Next up, you brought up the end of the Park Pass Reservation system entirely!

It might not be an exaggeration to say that there’s been a strong desire to do away with the park pass reservation system since it’s inception. You summed up those feelings when you mentioned, “End of park reservations.” Now, some folks — namely annual passholders — will still need to make park pass reservations, but those of you who have a Disney World vacation booked starting on or after January 9th, 2024, will not!

4. EPCOT Transformation

Next, we’ve got the end of the EPCOT transformation!

EPCOT construction

The ongoing EPCOT renovation project has been generating lots of anticipation, with people eager for the removal of construction walls (finally) and the reveal of all that is new. And we could see that when you said, “EPCOT being back and getting rid of WALLCOT.” Disney execs have promised the walls will be gone by December 2023!

5. Return of the Dining Plan

You went all in for this next one. We’re talking about the return of the Disney Dining Plan.

SNACK TIME on the Dining Plan: Pineapple Upside-Down Cake from Aloha Isle

Several of you mentioned your excitement about the return of dining plans (listen, we are excited too!), which had enhanced your experiences at Disney World in the past. And, your excitement really came through so simply and best in, “Dining Plan returning!” This change also takes effect on January 9th, 2024 — and you can read lots more about the Disney Dining Plan right here!
