For the first time this year, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will have a gingerbread display. Disney announced the new display a few weeks ago, and later shared that it would be inspired by the resort’s lighthouse. The gingerbread lighthouse is now under construction in the Yacht Club lobby, and the annual Christmas miniature train village has returned.
Gingerbread Lighthouse & Christmas Village
Before now, we weren’t sure if the miniature village would return alongside the new gingerbread display. But they can both be found in the resort lobby, right next to each other.
The lighthouse was still under construction when we visited on Thursday, although seemed near completion. There were three ladders around the structure as the culinary team secured gingerbread pieces to the framework with icing.
The lighthouse is taller than the nearby windows, almost reaching the ceiling.
Circular windows on the lighthouse are rimmed with tiny wreaths.
The Christmas village is already operating. It features tiny homes, people, Disney characters, and billboards for offerings at Disney’s Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts.
The train only runs for two hours at a time on the following schedule:
- 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
- 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
