‘Tis the season for a new guidemap at Disneyland Park. A festive new map became available for guests visiting Disneyland Park on November 10 as holiday celebrations commenced across Disneyland Resort.
New Holiday Guidemap Debuts at Disneyland Park
The Disneyland Park Christmas tree adorns the cover of the map. The massive holiday icon is erected on Main Street U.S.A. each year and was installed for the 2023 holiday season earlier this month.
“GUIDEMAP” appears in a white font atop a purple gradient backdrop at the top of the cover. The gradient gives way to the cloud-filled sky behind the Christmas tree. The Disneyland Park logo is printed across the top of the holiday decoration. An advertisement for the Disneyland app appears at the bottom of the cover.
Additional Disneyland app details are printed on the front flaps of the brochure. The pamphlet informs guests about the app’s features, detailing its mobile food ordering and merchandise checkout functionalities and the Disney Genie and Genie+ services. The interior of the map also contains photos of the Peppermint Sundae at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor and the Turkey Baked Potato at Troubadour Tavern, two items available as part of Disneyland Resort’s 2023 holiday food and beverage offerings.
This section of the brochure also contains a safety tip and an advertisement for MagicBand+.
The map itself does not feature any significant changes from the previous guidemap, which was released for the Halloween season. The most significant alteration may be in the inclusion of “it’s a small world” holiday as opposed to the traditional “it’s a small world,” the festive overlay of the iconic attraction opened on November 10.
The map and labels sit on a purple background as opposed to the dark teal shade that was present on the Halloween version of the map. The Adventureland Treehouse Inspired by Walt Disney’s Swiss Family Robinson, an updated attraction that, too, opens to all guests on November 10, is included on the map, but its inclusion is not new. It’s been labeled and included on previous versions of the guidemap.
The map features the same Magic Key and Disney PhotoPass advertisements that were printed on the Halloween version of the guidemap.
Large-scale holiday celebrations commenced across Disneyland Resort on November 10. Holiday costumes for Mickey Mouse and his friends were revealed on November 9, and the characters started wearing the festive new threads at Disneyland Park on November 10.
The Christmas Fantasy Parade, ‘Believe… in Holiday Magic’ Fireworks Spectacular, and the Disney Holiday Dance Party headline the list of holiday entertainment offerings at Disneyland Park. Festive entertainment at Disney California Adventure includes World of Color – Season of Light, performances from Blue13 Dance Company, the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, a Holiday Concert featuring Phat Cat Swinger, the Mickey’s Happy Holidays performance, and the Mostly Kosher at Sonoma Terrace musical performance. The Disney Festival of Holidays also runs at Disney California Adventure from November 10–January 7.
The Downtown Disney District is even set to get in on the holiday spirit, as snow will fall on the retail area for the first time starting on November 24.
