After a stage lighting lamppost in the town square of Disneyland Park fell over and injured three people, Disney has removed a similar light pole entirely and stripped lights from other posts. The lamppost that fell was rusted through and significant winds are believed to the the cause of knocking it over. Windy weather has continued in Southern California.
Lights Removed From Disneyland
As of November 26, a stage lighting lamppost that was previously tied down with cables in the town square of Disneyland has been entirely removed.
A rock has been added in the place where the now-removed lamppost once stood.
Additional Lighting Changes
Near the Matterhorn, lights have been removed from two light towers.
It was a particularly windy day when we spotted the lighting changes.
A Look At the Usual Lighting
As a comparison, this is what the light towers usually look like.
This tower is located directly across the street from the one with the removed lights.
