Dooney & Bourke and Disney have teamed up on a new “Frozen” 10th anniversary collection. The full collection is already available at Disneyland Resort, while only the wallet wristlet has arrived at Walt Disney World (so far). We found the wallet at Creations Shop in EPCOT, with other Dooney & Bourke items.
“Frozen” 10th Anniversary Wallet – $188
The wallet is dark blue, with an all-over pattern of circular frames displaying images of the film’s main characters: Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven.
Each frame is themed to that character, like ice shapes around Elsa and flowers around Anna. Olaf is surrounded by snowflakes with “10” at the bottom of his frame.
Icy diamonds and snowflakes are also between the character frames. A goldtone Dooney & Bourke plaque is on one side.
Sven has a frame of his favorite treats, carrots, while Kristoff’s frame appears to be woven from branches.
The wallet unzips to reveal three slots for bills and a zipper pouch.
There are also smaller card slots on the inside. The interior lining is simple blue fabric.
“Frozen” Franchise
The first “Frozen” film premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on November 19, 2013. It was released in U.S. theaters on November 27 and proved to be a huge success for Disney. “Frozen” stars Kristen Bell as Princess Anna and Idina Menzel as Queen Elsa, Anna’s older sister with secret ice powers. After Elsa accidentally reveals her powers, she runs away. Anna, with help from snowman Olaf (Josh Gad) and ice carver Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), pursues Elsa. The film was written by Jennifer Lee from a story by her, Chris Buck, and Shane Morris. Buck and Lee directed “Frozen” with music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. “Frozen” won two Oscars — Best Animated Feature and Best Song.
“Frozen II” was released in 2019, with Buck and Lee still at the helm. Set three years later, Elsa hears a strange voice calling her into the Enchanted Forest. She, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf set out on a journey to find the voice and learn more about Anna and Elsa’s late parents. “Frozen 2” earned $1.45 billion at the global box office, and the film’s song “Into the Unknown” was nominated for Best Original Song at the 2020 Academy Awards.
Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that Disney had “sequels in the works” for “Frozen,” “Toy Story,” and “Zootopia” in February 2023. Lee later confirmed that she is working on “Frozen 3.” Iger announced at a media event for World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland that Lee was working on “Frozen 4” as well.
World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland opened on November 20, 2023. A “Frozen” area will also open as part of the Fantasy Springs expansion in Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024. The Kingdom of Arendelle is under construction at Disneyland Paris, set to open in 2025.
“Frozen” representation at Walt Disney World includes Frozen Ever After and an Anna and Elsa meet and greet in the Norway Pavilion of EPCOT, the new “Frozen Holiday Surprise” show at Magic Kingdom, and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. “Frozen” is also represented on Disney Cruise Line with Arendelle – A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish featuring dinner and a show with “Frozen” characters.
