REVIEW: Skipping Disney World’s Hidden Holiday Bar Would Be a Big MISTAKE.

Happy Holidays, everyone!

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar

Yes, the holidays are in full swing in Disney World. We’ve shown you a lot of the holiday decorations in the parks. We’ve visited ALL the gingerbread displays at the hotels. We’ve gone on a Christmas Tree stroll in Disney Springs. Well, now we’ve headed back to Disney Springs to check out a holiday bar

Every year, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, which is inspired by the Indiana Jones movies, transforms into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, which means the entire space gets a holiday transformation. However, more importantly, the menu at Jock Lindsey’s gets some new holiday-inspired items. This year brings a few new things, like the O’ Ham N’ Cheese Trees, made with Puff Pastry, Pitt Ham, Cheddar, Garlic Herb Butter, and Sugar Plum Jam for $15.

LOOK at that presentation!

As you can see, these little trees win major points just for presentation alone. But looks ain’t everything, folks. But when we tasted these little heavenly trees, we were blown away. The puff pastry is crunchy, the ham is sweet and savory, and there’s a hint of spice (don’t worry — they’re not spicy HOT, though).

Ham and cheese? Yes!

We could also really taste the garlic butter, as well as the cheese…and well, anything with that kind of melted cheddar all over it is a winner in our books. The sugar plum also adds a nice sweetness that combines with everything else. 10 out of 10, y’all.

SO cheesy

We also had to try the Hot Chocolate Grail Flight for $26, which includes Spiced Caramel with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Cookies ‘n Cream with White Chocolate and Stoli Vanil Vodka, Peppermint with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and Bols Crème de Menthe White Liqueur. Um…oh, yeah!!!

Hot Chocolate Grail Flight

We knew when we tasted the Spiced Caramel, we had a favorite. It’s got the perfect balance of caramel to balance out the rich chocolate flavor. The rum, though, kinda’ goes unnoticed, but we weren’t mad about that.

Spiced Caramel

The Cookies and Cream tasted like a hot Oreo shake, and we mean that in a good way. There’s a strong vanilla flavor to it, but we also thought it was very sugary and syrupy. The cookie crumbs on top add a nice texture, but we would have loved some of that mixed into the chocolate as well. Overall, this was our least favorite of the flight. However, we’d still say this was tasty.

Cookies and Cream

Finally, the Peppermint had a very light minty flavor, while the Bailey’s and White Liqueurs added just enough of a subtle boozey taste. We really liked this because it felt so festive. One thing we liked about all three drinks is that although they DO have alcohol in them, the alcohol isn’t the primary taste you get.

Peppermint

Overall, we think this flight is the perfect combination of alcohol and hot chocolate. Each drink was smooth, rich, and delicious. We’d say 9 out of 10 for this.
