Universal just announced that their new Frisco, Texas theme park will be called Universal Kids Resort. They released new concept art, revealing the park will have a SpongeBob SquarePants land.
The rumored lands clockwise from left to right are “Trolls” (pink), “Shrek” (green), “Puss in Boots” (orange), “Camp Cretaceous” (blue-purple), and “SpongeBob SquarePants” (blue-green), with a Minions land in the center and “Gabby’s Dollhouse” near the entrance.
The roof of the Krusty Krab from “SpongeBob SquarePants” is clearly visible in the blue-tinted land, which is full of water features. “Trolls,” “Shrek,” and “Camp Cretaceous” were all featured in the original concept art (below) but have moved around.
The original concept art included the DreamWorks logo at the front of the park, but with the addition of SpongeBob, not all the park’s IPs would be DreamWorks, so the logo is gone from the new concept art. Instead, a hotel extends over the park entrance.
None of the lands have been confirmed and plans could still change.
