In a new aerial video of Epic Universe, bioreconstruct has captured a ride test of a new “How to Train Your Dragon” ride at the upcoming park, currently expected to open in Summer of 2025.
Aerial Video of ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ Ride Testing
In a nighttime aerial tour in the “How to Train Your Dragon”-themed land at Universal Epic Universe, bioreconstruct captured this video of a spinning ride during a ride test. Check out the clip below:
The spinning ride test shows the vehicle end in the air in the image above, with the counterweight pointed toward the ground.
It’s a little easier to make out the movement in the video than in the still shots, but the ride vehicles on one end of the arm swoop into the sky before zooming back toward the ground.
In the image above, the ride is coming to a stop and the dragon wing-shaped theming is clearly visible. Each of these dragons appear in the video to move independently on the swinging arm to emphasize and change the ride forces.
Epic Universe News
Universal Epic Universe is expected to open in 2025, and just a few days ago, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., submitted several service mark applications that may indicate the names of attractions in the new park.
The locations at the park, including Universal Classic Monsters’s “Dark Universe” land portal, continue to take shape as construction is ongoing.
