Universal Volcano Bay Water Park will be closed tomorrow, December 11, 2023, due to the cold weather. The low temperatures have resulted in water park closures both at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando.
Universal Volcano Bay Water Park Temporarily Closing Due to Low Temperatures
The water park will be closed on Monday, December 10, 2023, due to low temperatures.
On Monday, December 6, Orlando is forecasted to have a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 49 degrees Fahrenheit with partly cloudy skies, according to weather.com.
The park is already slated to be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. It’s currently scheduled to be open during its normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m on Thursday and throughout the weekend. This can change depending on the weather, which is currently expected to be cloudy and windy and projected to reach a high of 72 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 64 degrees Fahrenheit on Thursday.
Weather-related closures are not uncommon for Central Florida water parks, particularly in the winter when temperatures sometimes get too low to comfortably operate the parks. Last winter, Universal Volcano Bay closed several times from November to March with temperatures sometimes dipping down into the 40s. This year, Universal Volcano Bay has already seen a few days of closures, including on Thanksgiving.
Does this closure impact your plans this week at Universal Orlando Resort, or were you already making other plans to keep warm tomorrow? Let us know in the comments.
