One of Disney’s Most Popular Restaurants Will Temporarily CLOSE Soon

Okay, so you’ve probably heard us say it before, but when it comes to good food, Disneyland might just outrank Disney World.

New Orleans Square

Now, don’t get us wrong — we LOVE the food in Disney World, but Disneyland has some unique offerings you can only find on the West Coast. The corn dogs are CLASSIC and The churros are 🔥🔥🔥. There’s also Blue Bayou, which lets you eat INSIDE the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Well, if you were planning on dining there soon, you might want to re-think your plans.

Blue Bayou is closing its doors on January 7th — you’ll notice that if you check the dates on Disneyland’s website, it says “no times available.”

However, this is only a temporary closure. The restaurant is showing hours again as of January 20th, meaning January 19th will be the last day of its closure. Although Disney hasn’t officially stated a reason for the restaurant closing, these usually happen for things like maintenance and refurbishment.

So, if you had plans to dine there or were thinking about making a reservation during that time, here’s your heads up that the restaurant will be closed. However, the nearby Cafe Orleans, which has a similar menu, including the Monte Cristo) will still be open, so you might want to try to eat there instead.

We’ll keep an eye out for more closures in Disney World and Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
