One of the best kept secrets at Universal Orlando Resort is Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom. Located on the upper level of CityWalk, next to the Red Coconut Club, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Delicious food, incredible drinks, and live music nightly all make Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom a must for those visiting Universal Orlando. Now, they’ve gotten into the holiday spirit and decorated the restaurant for the first time ever.
Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom is still a hidden gem, even if it has been in CityWalk for over 20 years. The restaurant is designed to look like Bob Marley’s old home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Just in time for Christmas, the restaurant has added some festive decor. Outside of the restaurant, lights have been strung on the side of the house and a wreath hung in the window.
As you enter, there are wreaths on the gates and lights added around the plants and trees. It feels so festive to walk through the entrance surrounded by twinkling Christmas lights. The base of the palm trees are even wrapped in lights.
Inside the restaurant, Christmas lights have been added around the stage, with candy canes on each side. Icicle lights hang above the stage and running red and green lights wrap around the poles. The lights are all red, green, and yellow like Rastafari colors.
The decorations are subtle enough inside the restaurant that they aren’t distracting, but they add a lot of holiday cheer. It feels inviting and welcoming and makes us want to stay a while.
This is the first time that Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom has decorated for the holidays and we hope it won’t be the last. Be sure to stop by and check it out if you’ve visiting Universal Orlando. The food is always delicious and the drinks are some of the best on property. And if you’re looking for even more Christmas spirit, be sure to check out the Red Coconut Club right next to Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom.
