A Retired Form of Disney Park Transportation Made a Reappearance for New Year’s Day!

When it comes to beloved Disney personalities and park icons, there are THOUSANDS. So many minds contributed to each of the amazing details that can be found in the Disney Parks.

Omnibus in Magic Kingdom

Many of you might be familiar with Bob Gurr and his Omnibus. Gurr had a hand in creating some of the most ICONIC ride vehicles in the Disney Parks, including the Doom Buggies in the Haunted Mansion. The Omnibus was a beloved addition to the list of his creations. Originally created in 1956, it’s a double-decker bus that folks can now hop on to get around Main Street, U.S.A., and once upon a time, there was one that went around World Showcase in EPCOT. Well, the World Showcase Omnibus made a reappearance in a very special way.

Pasadena-Star News covered this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade, which takes place each New Year’s Day. This year, the World Showcase Omnibus got to be part of the parade!

Riding on the Omnibus was the President of The Tournament of Roses, Alex Aghajanian, as well as his family.

We’re so glad that Gurr and his creation was able to be showcased in such a unique way.
