Disney World isn’t just about rides and food (although the latter is VERY important to us).

There are also a lot of fun interactive experiences you can have in the parks! From visiting Kidcot stations in EPCOT to MagicBand+ interacting with things in the parks to DuckTales World Showcase Adventure, there are TONS of OTHER things to do in Disney World. Well, a NEW interactive experience is coming soon, and after chatting with a Cast Member, we’re hoping this experience is getting closer to opening. 

In July 2023, Disney Parks announced that a new interactive experience would be coming to Magic Kingdom. It’s called “Smellephants on Parade” and will be a “family-friendly ‘search and sniff’ adventure in Storybook Circus. Yep, Disney wants you to go around Storybook Circus sniffing things. The experience will be sponsored by Scentsy.

You may recognize the name “Scentsy” from a seasonal experience in EPCOT! During the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, Scentsy sponsors the Blossoms of Fragrance experience, where you can enjoy garden-inspired scents by visiting six scent stations set up near some floral topiaries. Basically, those stations had little signs that you could lean in to smell and take in the springtime scents. While Disney hasn’t revealed exactly what “Smellephants on Parade” will be like, we’re wondering if it will be similar to the Blossoms of Fragrance experience. 

Back in November, we noticed some news signs in Storybook Circus. The signs have some updated branding that says “Presented by Scentsy.” More recently, we spoke to a Cast Member, who told us to “get ready for Smellephants.” It’s really happening! Note that Disney hasn’t shared an opening date quite yet, but we’ll keep our eyes and ears out for more news.

Here’s a closer look at more of that “Scentsy” signage, which first started to appear in late November. The more we look around, the more “Scentsy” branding we keep finding in the park! Could this be a clue that “Smellephants on Parade” will be spread throughout Storybook Circus? Considering we’ve spotted signs all over the area, it seems like a good indication that this interactive experience will take up more than just one part of Storybook Circus.

So, Smellephants could be happening soon, although we still don’t have an actual date when the experience will open. You can bet we’ll be looking for more clues around Storybook Circus, though. So stay tuned to DFB for more.
