Disney is teaming up with Roku once again to bring a new addition to Roku City — their upcoming addition to the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Treasure.
Disney Treasure Added to Roku City
Following Disney’s previous addition to Roku City, Cinderella Castle, Disney Cruise Line is now taking over its spot with its newest ship in the fleet, the Disney Treasure. This is the latest Roku collaboration to come to the screensaver, following previous advertising deals with Paramount+, Carnival Cruise Line, and Warner Bros., who promoted Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” film with a Barbie Dream House.
The ship appears in the same section where Cinderella Castle is located, with an archway featuring the Disney Cruise Line logo and a path leading toward the water. Just under the arch is Maui’s fish hook from “Moana” — referencing the ship’s new Broadway-style show, “Disney The Tale of Moana.”
On the left is Disney’s Mt. Rushmore, a collection of buoys found on Castaway Cay with painted-on faces of Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, and Goofy. To the right of the buoys is a glowing treasure chest. In the water is a silhouette of Ariel sitting upon a collection of rocks, pulled straight from the animated film, “The Little Mermaid.”
To the right of the illustrated pathway are the Hitchhiking Ghosts from the Haunted Mansion, with their luggage ready to go. A Haunted Mansion-themed bar will be aboard the Disney Treasure.
Behind them, Miguel’s guitar from “Coco” rests against a palm tree, with marigold petals floating in the breeze. A “Coco” restaurant and dinner show was announced for the ship in September 2023.
Finally, Mickey and Minnie’s silhouettes can be seen chilling out in lounge chairs on the beach.
This unique advertisement is to celebrate the ship’s December 2024 maiden voyage. Roku users should now be able to see the ship in their own Roku City.
