Universal Studios Florida has started to set up for this year’s Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval. The event starts on February 3, 2024 and food booths have arrived around the park. The menus have not been announced, but the map has been released with all of the food locations.
Universal Mardi Gras 2024 Food Booths
There might not be menus yet, but thanks to the event map, we have an idea of what international food we can expect to see. Several new booths have popped up around Gramercy Park, near Minion Cafe, and the Transformers queue.
According to the map, this booth is Puerto Rico. The food booths look like they’ve gotten an upgrade this year.
The booths are closed up on the back with doors on the side. This looks like a nice improvement from the old tent-style booths. The food locations for events are sometimes open tents with temporary structures set up around them. You can take a look at last year’s Mardi Gras prep in our post here to see the difference.
The New Orleans Desserts location is a salmon-colored stand next to Puerto Rico.
Here’s another look at the sliding door on the side of the new kiosks. These look much nicer than the older tents. Hopefully, the food has also gotten an upgrade this year along with the booths.
Just around the corner on Park Avenue, there are two more booths set up. These are Spain and New Orleans, according to the map. They can be found in the New York sections of the park, by Gramercy Park.
The Bloody Mary Bar tent is set up right across from Fast and Furious: Supercharged as you head into San Francisco. There’s no theming on it yet.
One of the newer, light blue food trucks is parked next to Chez Alcatraz. The tables in the area have been moved away from the truck to make more space. This is one of the new styles of trucks with digital menus. This truck should be the location for the food from the Philippines.
One of the older, brown food trucks is set up on the opposite side of San Francisco, on the edge of London. This truck is parked across from Kings Cross Station. According to the map, this should be Thailand.
Battery Park will be used as a food stand for Mardi Gras again and is listed as Germany on the map.
Equipment is also set up next to Cafe La Bamba. This location is Mexico. There will be more food options around the park, but many of them are coming from permanent locations.
Mardi Gras 2024 Tribute Store
Decorations have not started to go up around the park, but the first signs of the Mardi Gras 2024 Tribute Store have appeared. Trusses have gone up around the Williams of Hollywood facade. Normally, this side is the exit to the Tribute Store, but it looks like things might be switching around this year. Details for the theme have not been announced, but a hint appeared at the exit to the Holiday Tribute Store a few weeks ago.
Are you looking forward to trying some new Mardi Gras food this year? The menus have not been released yet, but Universal Orlando has confirmed the return of the Mardi Gras Food and Beverage Card.
