Speaking of which, we are now learning that there is a NEW animal addition at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!!
On September 22, a new BABY female Masai giraffe was born early in the morning Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park!!! (Just LOOK at that face!)

This sweet baby was born to Mara, a Masai giraffe who you have seen on the reserve while Kilimanjaro Safaris! In fact, Mara gave birth to her first calf Jabari within Kilimanjaro Safaris last year!!

The birth of her new calf also serves as the second successful pairing with the calf’s dad George through the Species Survival Plan, a program that works to ensure responsible breeding of endangered species. How great is that?!

We are definitely enjoying the “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” and we’ll be keeping an eye out for when Animal Kingdom’s new bundle of joy makes her first park appearance in the near future!
