This New Lemonade in Disney World Is Poppin’…LITERALLY!

Yes, it’s officially autumn…

YeSake

…but that doesn’t change the fact that Florida weather is still SCORCHING hot! You might be all-in on pumpkin spice coffee right now. Or, maybe you’re looking for something a little more refreshing to cool down your day of shopping at Disney Springs. It was 91 degrees today, so we decided to forgo a decadent fall treat and went with the new Popping Yuzu Lemonade from YeSake.

YeSake is serving three kinds of specialty lemonade drinks mixed with mango, strawberry, or blueberry syrup and flavored popping boba balls. If you’ve never had boba (sometimes called popping pearls), they’re essentially small, gel-like balls filled with sweet juice. They easily pop in your mouth and give you a burst of flavor.

The popping boba balls are what makes this drink special. The lemonade was good, but it would have been a regular flavored lemonade without the added taste and texture of the boba. You’re given a wide straw so you can get a mouthful of boba with every sip. You can always ask for a smaller straw if you don’t like tasting a ton of boba balls at once.

Popping Bobas and Big Straw

The lemonade itself was surprisingly refreshing! It tasted like real, fresh lemonade and really hit the spot on this hot day. The lemonade mixed with the syrup made the drink pretty sweet though. There’s a sour citrus punch in the beginning then it gets sweeter at the end. It might not be the best choice for someone who doesn’t like sweet juices and soda.

That all said, the popping boba and syrup didn’t really taste like strawberry. The drink was definitely tasty, sweet, and refreshing. It just didn’t have a distinct strawberry taste and tasted fairly artificial. That’s usually how most boba balls taste, however. They’re more like a sweet, candied juice. We would have loved to have a little strawberry puree thrown in!

The drink costs $8.52 and a good choice for someone looking for a bubble tea that’s light and refreshing. And if you’re totally over summer? YeSake is also mixing up a Pumpkin Spice Milk Tea with tapioca boba! It’s a good compromise for those of us who are ready for pumpkins but don’t want to swelter in the Florida sun.
