It’s been nearly five months since the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser took its final voyage.

The Star Wars themed hotel permanently shut its doors on September 30th, 2023. Since then, many Disney fans have wondered what will take over the space — if anything at all. Fans paid tribute to the closed hotel by tying ribbons to the gate that used to lead to the hotel, but Cast Members soon closed the area off. Now, the passageway to the former hotel is being used for something else entirely!

Capture Your Moment PhotoPass sessions are a great way to commemorate your Disney World vacation without having to endure those awkward family photos. You know — the ones where only three people are ready, one person (perhaps the one in the stroller) is crying because they don’t want to take a photo, and another person has their eyes closed.

With Capture Your Moment, you’ll have your very own PhotoPass photographer who totally customizes your session for a PRIVATE photo shoot. It’s a great way to make sure you have unique family photos that aren’t rushed-through. Disney just added sessions to be taken in Galaxy’s Edge, which is so cool for Star Wars fans.

Now, the passageway that leads to the former Star Wars hotel is being used for Capture Your Moment check-ins!

Now, if you schedule a photoshoot, you’ll head on over to the Cast Members near the old Star Wars hotel.
