Finally! Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe HAS REOPENED in EPCOT!

Oh, how we love Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe at the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT. We’ve sung its praises many times, especially when professing our undying love for School Bread.

But when Disney World reopened, our beloved Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe didn’t. NOOOOOO!!!! But this past week, our wishes were fulfilled, because we learned that the bakery would soon open its doors again!

Swing those doors wide open because WE ARE READY! We finally got to visit the newly reopened Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. And Kringla was ready for us, with markers outside the bakery for social distancing.

Those markers continue indoors, too.

But the most important question here is WHAT’S IN THE CASE? Although we didn’t spot any specialty items (like the Frozen 2 Caramel Mousse we had last year), the beloved guest favorite snacks ARE BACK. That includes the Sweet Kringla with Almonds and the Chocolate Kringla, both for $6.29 each.

The Lefse has also returned! This is a potato flatbread with butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Now, we don’t absolutely love this treat, but our readers say it’s MUCH better when you ask for it to be warmed up!

But we’re sure you’re wondering about the star of Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, and yes, IT’S THERE. The School Bread has returned home! We recently discovered School Bread at the cart outside the Norway Pavilion, but now it’s back where it belongs. However, a Cast Member did tell us we will still be able to find it at the cart occasionally. It costs $4.49.

Let’s just have a moment to appreciate this wonderful fluffy sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut. And although it was briefly topped with an Olaf figure, it now sports Bruni from Frozen 2!

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe also has Nordic Draft Beers to choose from for $10, along with Viking Coffee (spiked with Bailey’s Irish cream and Kamora coffee liqueur) for $13. There’s also a selection of non-alcoholic drinks.

We totally had to get one of our favorite beers, the Norway Einstok White Ale! It’s a traditional wheat beer, although it’s lighter than other wheat beers we’ve tried and is super flavorful.

This is a great beer for those who like Blue Moon: we highly recommend it!

So there you have it, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is back (albeit with a limited menu, but that could change), and our happy Norwegian snack dreams are coming true again. We’ll let you know about any other reopenings we come across!

See what other location has just reopened at EPCOT!
