Dug and Russell from Pixar’s “Up” have returned as meet & greet characters at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Dug & Russell’s Wilderness Explorers Club House
They meet guests at Dug & Russell’s Wilderness Explorers Club House on Discovery Island near the Tree of Life. Each character appears separately, and guests wishing to meet both characters will need to wait in line twice.
The club house has a covered queue and meeting area.
The retractable sun shade features art of Paradise Falls.
The background for the meet and greet has the Wilderness Explorers symbol and a Club House notices board
There’s a red wagon full of camping supplies and a bucket of tennis balls for dug. There is a bumper sticker that reads “I [heart] squirrels” and a stuffed squirrel riding along.
This marks Dug and Russell’s return as meet and greet characters. Since 2022, they have only appeared on the Adventure Flotilla.
Dug Meet & Greet
The two characters rotate throughout the day. Currently, there are no schedules posted on the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World website. Cast Members said that today’s schedule was 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., but that is subject to change daily.
