Crews have finished installing the new carpet on the stairs of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
New Polynesian Carpet
The new carpet is red-orange with light stripes patterned across it. When we first noticed the carpet, installation was already complete on the stairs closest to Ohana in the resort lobby.
The carpet now completely covers the stairs near Moana Mercantile, in another corner of the building.
The old carpet was gray and brown but featured the same pattern.
Construction materials have been removed from below the stairs. The remaining carpet was being stored here.
The new carpet follows an update to rugs and upholstery in the lobby last year.
