New Marvel Artist Series merchandise featuring artwork by Sara Pichelli, the co-creator of Miles Morales, is available at Walt Disney World.
Marvel Artist Series Collection
We found the new merchandise in Marvel Super Hero Headquarters at Disney Springs. The shop is located on the West Side of the district.
The new collection includes an ear headband, Loungefly, Spirit Jersey, and prints.
The tags feature the full artwork created by Pichelli. It features Captain Marvel, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Black Panther.
There is also information about Pichelli in the tags. She’s an Italian artist who, in 2008, won a worldwide contest by Marvel and has worked for the comics company ever since. She’s worked on dozens of Marvel titles, including the new Scarlet Witch solo series.
Loungefly Ear Headband – $44.99
The ear headband has three heroes on each pleather ear. The headband itself is solid black. The bow has a splattered paint pattern of purple, blue, and yellow.
A silver Avengers charm is in the center of the bow.
The right ear features Iron Man, The Hulk, and Captain America. They’re set against a purple background.
Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther are on the left ear, against a blue and yellow paint splatter background.
A black and silver plaque featuring the Marvel and Loungefly logos is on the right side of the headband.
The backs of the ears are solid black, like the headband. There’s a snap on the back of the bow, which enables it to be removable.
Without the bow, there is nothing left between the ears.
Loungefly Backpack – $78
The six Avengers are on the front of this Loungefly backpack, which is white with black accents. Most of the heroes are printed directly on the bag, but Captain America is a pleather patch, adding dimension to the artwork.
A Marvel and Loungefly plaque is on the top of the front. There’s a small zip pocket with a slanted opening below a small black flap.
Behind the superheroes is a paint splatter background of different colors.
Below the zipper on each side of the bag is a black square of pleather. Unlike your standard Loungefly mini backpack, these aren’t slip pockets. One side of the bag also has a Marvel Artist Series tag. The zipper is silver-tone.
The straps and handle are solid black. A purple-gray version of the Avengers logo is on the back of the bag.
The interior lining is a pattern of rectangles featuring the iconic uniforms (or fists in Hulk’s case) of the featured superheroes.
Captain Marvel, Thor, & Black Panther Print – $44.99
The prints come in dark cardboard frames. This one has a red border on the print, which features Captain Marvel, Thor, and Black Panther. Behind them are blue and yellow splatters of color.
The heroes are depicted in their comic forms, not how they necessarily look in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Hulk, Iron Man, & Captain America Print – $44.99
This print has a lime green border. The background splatters are purple-pink. The Hulk, Iron Man, and Captain America are in the center.
Spirit Jersey – $79.99
The Spirit Jersey is mostly white with black sleeves. Iron Man is on the front, taking up the right side of the torso. Behind him are yellow and blue splatters.
“Avengers” and “Since 1963” are in black on the left breast. A Marvel Artist Series tag is below.
The first issue of “The Avengers” was released in September 1963 and featured Ant-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and the Wasp.
The back of the Spirit Jersey features symbols of the six Avengers featured on the merchandise. Below the symbols are words associated with the team.
Thor is represented by his hammer, Mjölnir; Hulk by his fist; Captain America by his shield; Black Panther by his claw necklace; Captain Marvel by the golden star on her super suit; and Iron Man by his gauntlet.
Below the symbols are the words “Heroes. Friends. Visionaries. Legends. Reassembled. Teammates. Avengers.”
