Our FAVORITE Meal at Every Magic Kingdom Restaurant

Okay, it’s time to talk about our favorite thing EVER: Disney food.

Magic Kingdom

It’s no secret that some of our favorite Disney World food comes from Magic Kingdom. We’ll never not talk about Corn Dog Nuggets at Casey’s Corner or the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls at the Spring Roll Cart. But this time, we’re going to take some time to sit down at Magic Kingdom’s table service restaurants and tell you about our favorite things there!

Be Our Guest Restaurant

Now, we haven’t been silent about how much we miss when Be Our Guest used to offer an a la carte breakfast that allowed us to preorder our food. Now, both lunch and dinner are prix fixe, and we’ll admit we don’t think it’s as good as it once was. With that being said, though, if we are doing a meal at Be Our Guest, we’ll choose French Onion Soup for our appetizer, served Au Gratin with Gruyère. Okay, it’s a soup with LOADS of cheese on top — so what’s not to love? It’s not so heavy, though, to fill you up before the rest of your meal.

For our entree, it’s got to be the Grilled Filet Mignon, which is served with Smashed Potatoes, Haricots Verts, and Sauce au Poivre. The steak is always cooked EXACTLY to our preference (usually medium-rare). It has a lot of flavor plus the sides are tasty, too.

For dessert, we usually go with the Dessert Trio — because why just order one dessert when you can get three?

See how that works out?

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Speaking of pricey meals, let’s head INSIDE Cinderella Castle to meet some princesses and eat some food. We usually opt for beakfast here, and we almost always order the Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toastwhich is French Toast stuffed with Sweet Cream Cheese and Spiced Apples drizzled with Caramel Sauce and served with Bacon. OH, YEAH.

Caramel Apple French Toast

The inside is oh-so doughy and dense, and there are large chunks of apple in it. It all pairs quite well with that caramel sauce. Dessert for breakfast, y’all.

The Crystal Palace

Who doesn’t want to dine with Pooh and his friends? The Crystal Palace is another one of our breakfast faves, mostly for one reason: Churro Mickey Waffles. Yes, two of our favorite Disney foods are combined into one! These are basically waffles drowned in cinnamon sugar, and if that sounds delicious, you would be right!

Churro Mickey Waffles!

Dare we say that these are even better than regular Mickey waffles?

Liberty Tree Tavern

So the meal you’re served at Liberty Tree Tavern is pretty much all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving food, but if we’re going to mention ONE food item here (and if you’ve followed us for some time, you know where we’re going with this), it’s going to be the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

We will literally pace ourselves through the rest of the meal so we have room in our tummies for this delicious dessert. Note that the same menu is also served at The Diamond Horseshoe.

Skipper Canteen

Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen is one of our favorite Magic Kingdom restaurants, but our favorite thing on the menu isn’t actually on the menu. Yes, it’s a secret menu item, and you have to ask for it. It’s the Pao de Quejo which is CHEESY BREAD that is served with served with chimichurri cream cheese. These little happy balls of bread are soft and cheesy, and we ALWAYS ask for them as our appetizer.

Cheese bread!!!

For our entree, though, we love the Hardy Har Char” Siu Pork, which a Char Siu-marinated Pork Tenderloin served with House-Pickled Vegetables and Jasmine Rice. The pork is juicy and the sweet soy flavors really come through.

If you’ve still got room left for dessert, the Kungaloosh! will make your tummy sing. It’s an an African-inspired Chocolate Cake with Caramelized Bananas served with Cashew-Caramel Ice Cream topped with Coffee Dust.

This baby is PERFECTION.

The Plaza Restaurant

Skip the entrees and just order yourself a plate of the Plaza Loaded Fries at The Plaza Restaurant. This plate of Crispy Fries, Melted Cheddar, Bacon, Green Onion, and Spicy Sour Cream is enough to fill you up and even leave you a little room for a scoop of ice cream later if you’re feeling it.

Plaza Loaded Fries

You’ve got crispy fries, cheese, and bacon, so that’s pretty much the trifecta of creating a tasty dish. It’s also shareable if you want to make a smaller meal out of it.

Tony’s Town Square

Yes, it’s no secret that we are NOT huge fans of Tony’s Town Square, but if we could make an entire meal out of bread, we’d do it with Tony’s Garlic Bread for the Table. These slices of toasted ciabatta come with a parmesan fondue on the side, but we like to take that cheesiness and pour it over this tower of bread.

Tony’s Garlic Bread

We will say that our most recent visit to Tony’s surprised us because we found an entree we loved, too. It’s the Tortellini al Forno made with Calabrian Chili and Cheese Tortellini baked Italian Sausage, Onions, Peppers, and Mozzarella in a Creamy Tomato Sauce. It’s a nice combo of chili and cheese.

We hope this is a sign that Tony’s is finally upping its game.
