The original 1982 music loop for The Land Pavilion in EPCOT has returned (again). The music loop came back this weekend but was suddenly turned off on Monday. As of Tuesday, guests can enjoy the original music loop again.
The Land Pavilion Music Loop
We visited World Nature early Tuesday morning but heard no music around the pavilion. When we circled back just an hour later, the music loop had been turned on.
Hear the restored 1982 music in our TikTok video embedded below.
The music loop, played outside the pavilion, features calming instrumental renditions of songs like “You Are My Sunshine” and “Moon River.”
A different music loop of movie soundtrack compositions plays inside The Land Pavilion.
World Nature, World Discovery, and World Celebration featured a modern music loop for the past several years. A new music loop debuted for World Celebration when the land’s gardens opened last year. But World Nature and World Discovery still had generic music loops.
The Land opened on October 1, 1982, with the rest of EPCOT Center. Kraft and Nestle have both sponsored the pavilion over the years. Its original attractions were Listen to the Land, Kitchen Kabaret, and “Symbiosis.” Listen to the Land later became Living with the Land. Food Rocks replaced Kitchen Kabaret before the theater space permanently closed for Soarin’. “Symbiosis,” a documentary film, was replaced by “Circle of Life: An Environmental Fable” in the Harvest Theater. “Awesome Planet” later replaced “Circle of Life.” The pavilion is also known for its rotating table-service restaurant, Garden Grill, and quick-service venue, Sunshine Seasons.
