White and pink flowers are now “growing” on the salt mine mountain of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland Park.

In our most recent construction updates, we noted crew members installing fake moss and greenery on the mountain. Crews were installing white and pink flowers across the mountain’s dome when we visited on Tuesday.

We know from the Magic Kingdom version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is further along in construction, that the mountain will ultimately be covered in flowers and foliage.

Multiple crew members were on scaffolding around the mountain to add flowers.

Below the mountaintop, crews have stripped panels of shingles from the roof of the mill, where guests will ascend the attraction. The old Splash Mountain structure will remain for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure but is just being refurbished.

Moss now extends down all sides of the mountain. The gray rock on the front of the façade will also be covered.

The Briar Patch & Pooh Corner

We recently learned that the Splash Mountain gift shop, The Briar Patch, will become Ray’s Berets, named after Tiana’s firefly friend. The sign for The Briar Patch has been removed from the gift shop, which is still open during nearby construction. Concept art for Ray’s Berets (below) indicates the building won’t be changed much, but it will get a new sign and firefly lights in the foliage on the roof.

It looks like a window and door may also be removed, but concept art is not always 100 percent accurate. The shop will sell headwear, apparel, accessories, toys, and more.

Inside The Briar Patch, Splash Mountain theming remains. Notably, there are still briar vines wrapped around the rafters and carrots sticking through the roof.

The left-hand side of Pooh Corner will become Louis’ Critter Club. The Pooh Corner sign remains on that end of the gift shop. Compare to the concept art below.

Louis’ Critter Club will sell apparel, accessories, home decor, and more featuring Tiana and animal characters. Critter Country will temporarily close on May 1 for the gift shop updates.

Disney did not indicate when Critter Country would reopen but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open in the fall or winter of 2024.
