NEWS: Disney Announces Lay-Offs Will Affect About 6,700 Non-Union Employees in Disney World

Yesterday, Disney announced that approximately 28,000 Cast Members are set to be laid off from the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products division of the company.

Now, we’ve got an update on what those numbers will look like specifically in relation to Walt Disney World employees.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney alerted the state of Florida that approximately 6,700 Walt Disney World non-union employees are set to lose their jobs in December. The layoffs will reportedly begin on December 4th.

Several unions that represent Disney World employees have said that they are still in discussions with Disney regarding the details of the layoffs for union members. Our hearts are truly with all of the Cast Members affected by these layoffs. We appreciate you and all of the magic you’ve created for so many guests over the years.
