The Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom had a delayed opening Wednesday morning due to a fire caused by Tuesday’s fireworks.
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Burn Delays Walt Disney World Railroad
According to WDWNT’s sources, “Happily Ever After” caused a fire in the woods around Magic Kingdom on either Monday or Tuesday night.
Emergency crews thought they had caught all the burn spots, but found more on Wednesday morning. The Walt Disney World Railroad was “temporarily closed” until almost noon on Wednesday while crews cleaned up around the track.
When we rode the Walt Disney World Railroad, we saw the spot that was destroyed by fire. Trees had been cut down on the right side of the track.
The tree stumps and ground were dark from the fire.
Due to the fire, Cast Members were only dropped off behind Storybook Circus instead of at the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom Utilidors.
Walt Disney World Railroad and other Magic Kingdom attractions are currently operating as usual.
