Massive Changes are Coming to Disney’s Star Tours TOMORROW

One of Disney’s most legendary attractions is getting an upgrade TOMORROW!

Star Tours first opened at Disneyland to massive hoopla in 1987, and almost immediately became one of the park’s most popular – and most beloved – attractions. Clones of the revolutionary-for-the-time simulator attractions came to both Walt Disney World’s MGM Studios theme park and Tokyo Disneyland in 1989, and opened with Disneyland Paris in 1992. For decades, Disney and George Lucas teased the idea that new ride films could be added to the attraction, which finally came to pass in the early 2010s when each version closed, only to be reopened as Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, with alternating randomized experiences featuring differed locales and characters from the Star Wars galaxy. Since the new versions opened, they have been continuously updated with additional alternating scenes from new Star Wars projects.

The latest additions to Star Tours: The Adventure Continues will be debuting tomorrow, April 5th, at Disneyland, Hollywood Studios, and Disneyland Paris in conjunction with the start of Disneyland’s Season of the Force promotion.

These new show scenes are based  on the Disney+ Star Wars shows Ahsoka, Andor, and The Mandalorian, and will features fan-favorite characters including Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, Din Djarin, and the ADORABLE Baby Yoda himself, Grogu.

The new scenes will be added into the same randomized sequences that the ride already features, upping the number of possible combinations to well-over 250, and ensuring that ensuring that the no two experiences on Star Tours: The Adventure Continues in Anaheim, Orlando, or Paris are exactly the same.

As the Star Wars universe continues to expand across multimedia platforms, it seems like a given these additions won’t be the last added to Star Tours: The Adventure Continues.
