If you’re heading to Disney World soon, there are a few ongoing and scheduled refurbishments you should be aware of.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios already has one major ride in Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith undergoing a lengthy refurbishment and it looks like another Hollywood Studios attraction will join the dreaded “Closed” list. According to the Disney World calendar, the Mickey Shorts Theater is set to close for a temporary refurbishment SOON.

The Disney World refurbishment calendar now shows the Mickey Shorts Theater will be closed from April 29th until May 25th, 2024.

No specifics have been given about the attraction’s nearly month-long refurbishment, so its closure could just be for routine maintenance. We’ll let you know if Disney provides any updates.

Opening in 2020, the Mickey Shorts Theater is home to Vacation Fun, an original short that features Mickey and Minnie with clips from Panda-monium, Couples Sweaters, Potatoland, Croissant de Triomphe, Entombed, Dumb Luck, Al Rojo Vivo, Yodelburg, and Outback at Ya!.

After the show, viewers can “step into life-sized recreations of Mickey’s world” for photo opportunities.

The Mickey Shorts Theater opened in conjunction with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and has become a popular place to escape the Florida heat — but guests will need to find new shelter during this scheduled refurbishment.
