We’ve been not-so-patiently waiting for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World!

We know the ride is supposed to open this summer, we just don’t know exactly when it will be just yet. And, it seems as though Disney is playing with our hearts because their latest announcement might be the meanest trick they’ve played on us all year!
Disney recently shared a look at the exclusive Tiana’s Bayou Adventure critter trading cards for Cast Members! We’re crossing our fingers that trading cards like these will be sold in one of the two new stores opening around the ride — Critter Co-Op and Tiana’s Bayou General store — but it’s what Disney sneakily shared at the end of the video announcement that we’re particularly miffed about.

Did you hear that?! They were talking about the official opening date for the ride and all but announced it at the end before the video abruptly cuts off. A Cast Member says,

Why, Disney?! Why would you play such a cruel trick on us when you know this is the exact news we’ve been waiting to hear for months (okay, years) at this point! Hopefully, this just means that the opening date announcement is actually coming soon. Disney has been sharing more details and updates about the ride, and we even know when the first non-Cast Member ride will be taking place — which is a pretty big clue.
As for now, we’ll just have to wait for more breadcrumbs or clues — or better yet, a REAL opening date announcement — from Disney. We’re keeping our eyes and ears open for the latest updates, so make sure you keep checking back here!
