A new decorative section of pavement has been revealed in the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue under construction at Magic Kingdom.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Queue
Where the queue sidewalk curves under and in front of the Frontierland train station, a circle of gray cobblestones has been uncovered. A lily flower matching the decoration on the nearby gate is in the center of the circle.
The five-petaled lily has become a symbol of Tiana and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The same symbol is in the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure logo. There are floating pink lilies in the attraction’s water.
The Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Louis plush released at Target in April also features a pink water lily. Tiana’s wedding crown is shaped like a water lily. The crown was featured on the first Tiana’s Bayou Adventure pin. The Tiana’s Foods water tower features a lily-inspired decoration.
With scaffolding removed from the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure façade, most visible construction work is ongoing in the queue. We have seen crew members on this scaffolding around a tall wooden pole in the queue.
Tension wires were installed between lampposts. Blue metal lamps were installed on these wires.
We did see one crew member on the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure mountain.
We recently spotted a new critter character in this area.
Blue painter’s tape was around the window panes of these doors next to the train platform. The doors were painted the same brown as the railings on the nearby stairs.
Many construction materials have been cleared from the area directly in front of the barn. Since Splash Mountain closed, the barn has been repainted yellow with large murals and received new signage, doors, lamps, and green window shutters. A delivery truck, covered by a tarp, is next to the barn.
Blue lampposts and wooden lampposts are throughout the queue. The blue metal posts match the new railings.
Some posts also have black horn speakers. These posts have a brighter finish than the ones with lamps.
A farmer’s market has fake plants in large planters. There appears to be a new sign advertising garlic.
Three vintage-style lamps are staged on top of this crate.
A hole in rockwork in front of the queue has been patched.
Frontierland Station
Meanwhile, three crew members were working on scaffolding in front of the Frontierland station during our Monday visit. A section of the station has been covered in brown scrim for months.
This area is surrounded by construction walls.
The tarp was pulled aside, revealing a metal frame, likely for new signage.
From above, we saw the crew members discussing a sketch. The drawing appeared to be of a sign but didn’t feature text.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to open this summer at Magic Kingdom. It’s set to be open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which begins on August 9.
