The Galactic Gateway stage is undergoing a refurbishment, with a new color scheme beginning to take over.
Galactic Gateway Stage Refurbishment
Rolling planters remain around the Galactic Gateway stage, also called the Rockettower Plaza Stage, as refurbishment on the structure continues. Over the past three month, we’ve seen new paint going up on both the main stage and the tech booth that faces the stage. So far, the change marks a shift in color scheme, with the former mint green that was paired with futuristic silvers and grays changed to shades of blue.
In the latest update, the four shutters at the front of the stage have been repainted. They were formerly dark blue, with a lighter shade of blue in the slats, but are now a shade of gold.
This is likely not the final product, as the paint on the shutters is still patchy.
The rest of the front of the building has been stripped of its former paint job, which was white, with a dark blue stripe going up from the exterior shutters on each side.
The sides of exterior of the stage have been painted two different shades of blue. The area that is now light blue used to be white, while the dark blue sections were two different shades of green.
The color scheme continues on the back, with white and two different shades of blue paint. The stage has been home to meet and greets, dance parties, and stage shows in the past. It is located in between the Tomorrowland Joffrey’s Revive stand and Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress.
