Every Cast Member at TRON Lightcycle / Run Is BEGGING You Not To Break This ONE Rule.

It’s time to talk NEW Magic Kingdom attractions!

TRON Lightcycle / Run

Nope, this time we’re not talking about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. While the brand new attraction opens very soon on June 28th and has been in the news nearly everyday recently, we still need to talk about a Magic Kingdom attraction that opened over a year ago. Yep, we’re here to talk about TRON Lightcycle / Run! TRON is Disney World’s newest attraction other than Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but we’ve been on it enough to know a thing or two about a thing or two at this point.

Today, we’re here to talk about RULES that the TRON Cast Members are BEGGING you not to break. Of course, these aren’t hard and fast rules that you absolutely must follow, but abiding by these will ensure that everyone’s experience will go as smoothly as possible. Let’s go!

Remember your locker number…and your things!

Before boarding the ride, you’ll need to put all large items in a locker that you will access from the other side as you’re exiting the ride. You’ll find any locker that still has its number lit up — indicating that it is still available. Unlock the locker using your physical ticket card or your MagicBand. Unfortunately, these lockers aren’t compatible with MagicMobile — so you won’t be able to use your phone or smart watch.

The important thing here is to remember the number of the locker in which you’ve put your things! Otherwise, you’ll have to scan your MagicBand or ticket at the Locker Locator, which will tell you which locker your things are in. This area can get crowded and prevent people from efficiently exiting at times.

OH, and remember to grab your things when you leave. You don’t want to have to visit City Hall for the Lost and Found at the end of the night, do ya?

Listen to the Boarding Instructions

If you’ve been on your fair share of Disney World rides, then you likely already know that the rides share boarding instructions either on a screen or on signs before you board the ride. While a lot of the time, it’s easy to totally ignore these (Because how else would you board a roller coaster with a regular lap bar?), it’s important to pay attention at TRON because the process is a bit different.

TRON Boarding

One rider will need to cross over the track and board from the other side. A lot of first-time riders miss the memo because they didn’t watch the pre-show screens! Oh, and securing the restraints can be tricky, too. You simply pull the handlebars toward your chest to make the back restraint come down, but folks tend to miss that, too!

Of course, things happen that prevent us from paying attention, but it can take a while to actually ride the ride when the Cast Members are all trying to help everyone board properly.

And there you have it! Following these two rules can ensure that the process is as efficient as possible and can actually help make sure everyone gets on the ride even faster! We’re always here to provide you with all the best tips and tricks to make sure your Disney World vacation is awesome, so make sure to follow along for more so that you never miss a thing.
