On the final day of operation for Test Track, a large amount of construction equipment is present during the outdoor portion of the ride.
Test Track Construction Equipment
On our final ride of the soon-to-be-closed Test Track, we noticed construction equipment present as Disney prepares to begin reimagining the attraction. Numerous shipping containers, ladders, crates, panels, and other construction equipment sit around the blue and black Test Track logo.
Though the area is visible to guests from the attraction, a blue fence surrounds all the equipment on the ground level.
Test Track will permanently close on June 17, so it’s not surprising to see construction equipment ready to go. The outdoor area of the attraction has always given guests an unsightly view of locations that Disney generally prevents guests from seeing. However, this section is significantly worse to look at on the last day of operation for this version of the ride.
While a specific timeline has not been released for the refurbishment, we expect the attraction to remain closed for an extended period, as Imagineers reimagine the entire attraction.
