NEW summer menu items just arrived at Starbucks, and you know we HAD to try them out!
We’ve already tried out some of Starbucks’ summer menu, including a drink that tasted EXACTLY like our childhood. But now it’s time for round two, as Starbucks has released a few new drinks, a new sweet cream, and some new snacks. Let’s check them out!
We visited the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom (that’s this park’s Starbucks location) to try out a couple of the new drinks.
We tried to get the new Cinnamon Crumble Oatmilk Frappuccino, but a Cast Member informed us that Starbucks has rolled back this drink for a limited time in order to resolve an issue they’re having with the ingredients. But it should be available soon!
Instead, we got a couple of the new Iced Energy drinks! These are made with iced tea and sparkling fruit flavors and have no sugar. They’re available in the flavors Tropical Citrus (205 mg caffeine) and Melon Burst (180 mg caffeine), and there’s a frozen one, too: the Frozen Tropical Citrus Iced Energy with Strawberry Puree.
The Melon Burst Energy Drink was $6.49, and the Frozen Tropical Citrus drink was $7.79. The Melon Burst drink was…not our favorite.
It wasn’t very sweet at all, and yet it had an aftertaste that reminded us of an artificial sweetener. It wasn’t quite sweet enough to actually be that, though, so really it just tasted sort of medicinal. Maybe it came from the caffeine delivery product? Whatever it is, we weren’t fans.
However, we did enjoy the Frozen Tropical Citrus drink! This one has less caffeine and is sweeter than the Melon Burst one.
The main reason why it’s sweeter is the addition of that strawberry puree. We thought that made this drink 1000% better than the Melon Burst one.
The frozen drink is also great for a warm day, especially if you’re walking around Magic Kingdom in the heat!
These new drinks aren’t the only updates to Starbucks’ menu! There is now a new non-dairy vanilla sweet cream available to add to your cold brew drinks.
Also, you can try some new eats! The Egg, Pesto, and Mozzarella Sandwich has been added to the savory menu, and you can grab a Blueberry Streusel Muffin as well.
