Adamantium, the fictional metal best known for providing Wolverine his indestructible claws, will be debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It was confirmed during San Diego Comic-Con today that the Celestials will be the source of Adamantium for the MCU. This news comes on the heels of “Deadpool and Wolverine,” the first Deadpool movie under the Disney umbrella. The X-Men are primed for introduction into the MCU and the inclusion of Adamantium may be the first step.

Infamously, two X-Men characters were previously introduced to the MCU but it was before the agreement with Sony, leaving Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver present without the “mutant” title.
