Orlando Visitors Can Now Get Toll Transponder Passes at All MCO Terminals

Flying to Orlando from out of state can often mean travelers will need to rent a car to get around the theme parks, which means potentially encountering Central Florida’s toll roads. But with the Visitor Toll Pass from the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) now having machines in all Orlando International Airport (MCO) terminals, this is significantly easier (and cheaper).

Visitor Toll Transponder Pass Machines Now in All MCO Terminals

According to News 6 WKMG, these kiosks can now be found in all terminals at MCO, in the car rental area. This is offered as an alternative to expensive rental car toll transponders, which can cost as much as $5 to $10 per day. The Visitor Toll Pass transponder is a free, temporary toll pass for rental car customers traveling round-trip through the airport.

With this toll transponder from CFX, drivers will pay the lowest toll rate throughout Florida with no hidden or extra fees and can save up to 80% compared to toll transponders offered by rental car companies.

Reservations for the pass can be made by downloading the free Visitor Toll Pass app on Google Play and the iOS App Store and following instructions there before providing trip and rental car information and linking a credit card. Customers can also enable notifications to receive trip and toll activity updates.

Travelers can pick up their pass in person at the physical kiosk locations in MCO’s terminals and will need to decline their rental car company’s toll program. Then, they will have to add their rental car license plate number in the app, hang the toll transponder on the car’s rearview mirror, and then they’re ready to hit the road!

Once the trip has come to an end, visitors can return the toll transponder to one of the 14 drop boxes located throughout MCO. All tolls will be billed to the customer’s credit card on file.

This is a great option not just for visitors flying in to visit Walt Disney World Resort or Universal Orlando Resort, but for family and friends whenever they have to rent a vehicle in Orlando.
