FIRST LOOK at Disney Treasure’s Haunted Mansion Parlor & Periscope Pub Cast Costumes

Disney Cruise Line shared a first look at the crew member costumes for Haunted Mansion Parlor and Periscope Pub, two themed bars aboard the upcoming Disney Treasure.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor costumes include a green pincord vest layered over a striped purple shirt. These are paired with either a solid green skirt or pants. They take inspiration from the costumes worn by Haunted Mansion Cast Members in Disney Parks, as well as from the Haunted Mansion’s famous purple wallpaper. The “Easter Egg-riddled” accessories include a “mysterious set of keys.”

Read more about Haunted Mansion Parlor, which will also be on the upcoming Disney Destiny. Presumably, crew members on the Destiny will wear the same or similar costumes.

The Periscope Pub is inspired by “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” and the crew member costumes are appropriately inspired by the crew uniforms in the 1954 film. Crew members will wear nautical navy-colored vests with faux leather accents on the shoulders, neckline, and pocket. The custom lapel pin is inspired by one once worn by Magic Kingdom Cast Members at the defunct 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage.

Josh Winchester, Senior Costume Designer with Disney Live Entertainment, developed these looks. Winchester previously designed crew uniforms for the Disney Wish. On their Disney Treasure ship’s log, Disney Parks Blog said that he “set out to strike a balance between honoring the original park attractions and film that inspired these venues and customizing each look to be uniquely Disney Cruise Line.”

“In my role, I have the opportunity to shape how our crew members will fold into the story and energize the worlds Imagineers have built,” said Winchester.
