Disney World Adds More Accessible Parking Spaces to Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World is expanding the accessible parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which serves the Magic Kingdom.

TTC Accessible Parking

We noticed changes in the Zurg parking lot on the Villains side of the TTC. The lot has recently been repaved and repainted, so there are now four rows of accessible parking spaces at the front of the lot. It’s laid out with two rows facing each other and a walkway between them. A road is between the two sets of rows.

Accessible parking spaces are marked with blue lines. Each spot for a car has space on one side of it for guests needing extra room, such as those using a wheelchair.

We spoke with a parking Cast Member who said this update is for overflow from the regular accessible parking area. The parking lot was not open when we visited the Transportation and Ticket Center on Thursday morning. Construction crew members were still working in the area.

Like the accessible spaces, the regular parking spaces in Zurg are now straight instead of slanted. There is also two-way traffic between the rows. This differs from most other Walt Disney World parking lots.

The Cast Member we spoke to was not sure if these changes would go into effect in any other lots.
