During the Horizons: Disney Experiences panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it was confirmed that a Spider-Man themed roller coaster is coming to Shanghai Disneyland.

Very few details were shared during the presentation, but it was confirmed that an all-new Spider-Man coaster will be coming ot Shanghai Disneyland.

Shanghai Disney Resort announced to shareholders that a new attraction was coming to the park in March 2024. In April 2024, a municipal planning map was uncovered that showed a forward and reverse launch.
