GOOD NEWS! It’s About To Get Easier To Walk Around Disneyland

If you’ve been to Disneyland recently, you’ll know that it has a LOT of construction going on right now. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is under construction, although the ride is set to open on November 15th. The area around the ride, though, is currently closed as it gets re-themed and renamed as Bayou Country. Hungry Bear Restaurant, which is also located nearby is getting a reimagining and will soon become Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree.

There’s also some construction happening to the queue for Haunted Mansion in nearby New Orleans Square. This means that some of the pathways in these areas have been closed due to construction. We’ve got some good news, though: one of those pathways will soon reopen.

The bridge that connects New Orleans Square with Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been closed for a little while due to construction, but will soon reopen on August 19th. So you’ll be able to get around a little easier without having to detour.

You’ll also have access to some things that are along that route, including Davy Crocket’s Explorer Canoes and the restrooms on the lower level of Hungry Bear Restaurant (these are GREAT restrooms, by the way). So although there’s a lot of construction still going on, at least some things are reopening and it’s a little easier to get around the park.

Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure could be under construction soon as the park will soon be getting a new Avatar-themed land, as well as a new Coco ride. So expect to see construction walls and pathways blocked in that park soon. We’ll be keeping an eye out for construction updates in Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
