Construction of The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk is finally nearing completion as crews have finished installing roofing and walls.
The Cake Bake Shop Construction
The building has white walls, several windows, and light gray rooves. There are small gables on the first roof, and a tower reaching to the sky.
Golden “The Cake Bake” signs were installed above the entrances in May. They are currently covered in plastic, likely to keep them protected during painting and other work. When we last shared a construction update, the panels around this sign were brown.
A “Bakery” sign has been added above this entrance. There will be a quick-service bakery and a table-service restaurant. A row of white lights is above the signage.
There is an unfinished wall on this side of the building.
The edge of the roof on this section also appears unfinished.
The Cake Bake Shop was originally scheduled to open in 2023. It’s now scheduled to open this year.
The remnants of tarps are still stuck to some of the windows. It looks like others have tarps taped over them inside.
Lights have also been installed above the table service entrance sign.
According to concept art, the rooves and entrance archways will be lined with lights. There will be awnings over some of the doors and windows. Plants in white boxes will line the boardwalk.
The Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs stand recently opened after similarly being delayed from 2023 to 2024.
