PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom 9/7/2024 (Broken Luis Animatronic, Munchlings Slap Band and More)

Hello Yellow, this is the one and only Nana! On Saturday, I visited Magic Kingdom with my sidekick, and unofficial WDWNT intern, by my side. Let the magic begin!

A Day at Magic Kingdom

A monorail station entrance with Magic Kingdom signage, under a blue sky with scattered clouds. Tracks extend above on both sides, capturing the essence of 2024. Few people are visible near the entrance in this PHOTO REPORT scene.

We were super excited for our day, so we arrived at TTC by 7:35 am. The express monorail was not open so we had to take a ferry to Magic Kingdom. I don’t normally take the ferry to Magic Kingdom, but I love to take it back to TTC because it often plays “Remember the Magic” by Brian McKnight on the ferry.

A person stands on a motorized boat while fishing on a calm lake with trees in the background, capturing the serene beauty in what feels like a scene from Magic Kingdom.

On the ferry, I saw a group fishing at Seven Seas Lagoon. My friends and I have been talking about fishing here one day but have never done it. One day, we will.

A woman in a princess costume holds hands with a young girl in a pink dress as they walk on a pathway surrounded by greenery and a gazebo at Magic Kingdom. PHOTO REPORT: A magical moment captured on 9/7/2024.

After tapping into Magic Kingdom, we spotted a kid and Snow White walking together hand-in-hand. It was such a magical moment. After taking pictures with Snow White, she couldn’t stop telling her mom how excited she was. It warmed my heart. Those moments never get old.

A charming storefront with blue-and-white striped awnings along a pedestrian street, adorned with seasonal decorations, looks right out of the Magic Kingdom. The sky is clear, and a few people are seen walking in the distance, perfect for a 2024 photo report.

I love the smell of the Main Street Confectionery, but lately, the exterior of the building smells like cinnamon. It’s not a bad smell but I miss the classic scent. Maybe the smell change is in place because of the Halloween / Fall Season?

In this 2024 Magic Kingdom PHOTO REPORT, a group of costumed characters perform in front of Cinderella Castle at the theme park, with fireworks illuminating the clear blue sky in the background.

Another reason I love getting to Magic Kingdom early is to see “Let the Magic Begin.” I love this morning show, though I miss the old train station show, too.

A Photo Report from the Magic Kingdom in 2024: Two images showcasing staff members. In the left image, four individuals stand by an outdoor attraction. In the right image, a group of people, including staff, are gathered near an indoor facility.

Rides had a rough morning at Magic Kingdom. All of the mountains were down except for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Usually, Tiana’s is down and all of the other mountains are open, so this was an unusual morning. Even Pirates of the Caribbean was closed.

I took the unofficial intern to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for the very first time. While she had a great time, I was disappointed that the Louis animatronic wasn’t working.

Two people in Chip 'n' Dale costumes stand with arms crossed under a decorative gazebo in the sunny outdoor setting of Magic Kingdom, perfect for the 2024 PHOTO REPORT.

After Tiana’s Bayou adventure, we walked by Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and found Chip and Dale under the gazebo. According to the Cast Member with them, their usual location at the dock was too wet. For safety reasons, they were moved to the gazebo for the morning.

Two ghostly figures in top hats sit at a table in a dimly lit, eerie setting. Blue light highlights their spectral forms, while candles and faint lights create an ominous atmosphere—captured perfectly in this 2024 PHOTO REPORT from Magic Kingdom.

We then jumped on The Haunted Mansion to check out the now complete scene between the Duke and Duchess. While it was good to see them both back, it was a little disappointing that they weren’t having tea yet.

Visitors walk through an area featuring castle-like architecture and fairytale-themed buildings on a sunny day at Magic Kingdom. A small group of people are gathered near a shop with a sign out front, capturing memories for their 2024 photo report.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was taking walk-ups on Saturday, and I really wish I was 12 years old so I could get a princess makeover. Disney should find a way to bring back more “magical moments” for adults, such as when they used to allow us to participate in “Jedi Training Academy” during Star Wars Weekends.

Two images showing hands holding a pink slap bracelet with Disney-themed cartoon characters, labeled "Disney Munchlings." Various bracelets and accessories are displayed in the background. This item is part of the new Magic Kingdom 2024 collection featured in our latest photo report.

Inside Hundred Acre Goods, we found a MUNCHLINGS slap band!! I love the color and Mickey-shaped sprinkles. It’s $9.99 with tax.

People stand in line at a rustic-themed counter service establishment with menu boards hanging above, capturing the essence of 2024's Magic Kingdom experience.

After Hundred Acre Goods, we made our way to Gaston’s Tavern. Even if you don’t order anything here, be sure to take in the smell of Le Fou’s Brew. I wish my room could smell like that.

A small futuristic-themed stage with large windows and a model spaceship labeled "SON." Several large black speakers are positioned on the stage, and people can be seen outside the windows. This PHOTO REPORT captures a glimpse of Magic Kingdom in 2024.

We stopped in to check on Sonny Eclipse. He was singing his little heart out at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café even if he didn’t have an audience to perform for.

A signboard in the Magic Kingdom displays prices for various soft-serve items, including sundaes, floats, cold brew floats, different flavored soft-serve cups, smoothies, shakes, cold brew, and bottled water. PHOTO REPORT: 9/7/2024.

Though I didn’t get anything to eat on Saturday, visiting Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies made me think of something that happened to me on Wednesday. While at Magic Kingdom with the unofficial intern and a friend, we stopped and had the Candy Corn Soft-serve Sundae that Eric and I reviewed back in August. It’s one of the best items available right now. I asked if our unofficial intern and my friend liked it and they said it tasted like Japanese corn. I was confused. It’s candy corn, so how could it taste like corn? We ended up asking a Cast Member who told us that the ice cream was sweet corn flavored.

After looking at the sign on Saturday, I realized it even says that on the menu! I still LOVE the flavor even if I didn’t realize what I was eating.

A stage show at the Magic Kingdom with animatronic bears dressed in country attire playing instruments. The 2024 scene features colorful backdrops and lighting, with an audience watching in the foreground. Perfect for your next PHOTO REPORT!

Finally, I stopped to show the unofficial intern the new Country Bear show. She was so surprised that the theater was fully packed. I’m a huge fan of the Country Bear Musical Jamboree, and I’m happy to report that she enjoyed it as well.

A crowd of people walks towards a fairy tale castle with blue spires at Magic Kingdom. Trees and street lamps line the path, while decorative pumpkins are visible. The sky is clear and blue on this beautiful day in 9/7/2024. PHOTO REPORT captures the enchanting moment perfectly.

That concludes my Magic Kingdom photo report and my Disney Princess Diary. Let me know what your favorite part of the day was. Have a magical week!
