Disney World has been experiencing larger crowds in the parks recently. And we’re starting to see a few changes already!

Disney has brought back some of the amazing seasonal entertainment we all know and love, more restaurants and dining kiosks are opening, and each day seems to bring more news of extended hours for the parks.

As these changes are taking place, Disney continues to survey guests to find out what’s important and not important to visitors to determine what future changes they need to implement. They want to know more about guests, including what services and experiences will entice them to come back, and what will keep them away.

As the resorts and parks reopened after a months-long closure due to the global pandemic, Disney started sending out LONG and detailed surveys to guests.

While we haven’t received another survey in a quick minute, we were sent a questionnaire about our time in the Magic Kingdom after a recent trip to the park! During the survey, we were asked how soon we’ll return and whether we plan on taking a trip to any part of Disney World over the next five years.

Disney was also curious about how guests currently returning to the parks felt about the re-openings in the midst of the current health crisis.

The questionnaire went on to ask if we had been in Disney World for a single day or multiple day visit and what ticket we had used for entrance. Despite the fact that we received the survey after our specific visit to the Magic Kingdom, the questionnaire wanted to know what other theme parks and places in Central Florida we traveled to during our stay.

Since Disney highly values guest experience, we were asked about own interactions with the attractions, characters, and other entertainment around the parks.

We were also given the opportunity to provide feedback about our experiences with food and beverage locations, Disney transportation…

…and even the Disney Cast Members in the wake of the 28,000 layoffs that have recently occurred at the domestic parks.

As guests have returned to the parks, not every experience is available with limited capacity and safety measures in place at the moment. The survey wanted to know what new rules and regulations people were aware of before heading to the parks again…

…and if these situations negatively impacted their visit to the parks.

Disney went on to focus a LOT in this survey on how current experiences have affected their guests. We were given a series of questions that asked about whether we felt certain situations had a positive impact, no impact, or a negative impact on our vacations. This included questions about the absence of FastPass+, nighttime spectaculars, character meet and greets, Extra Magic Hours for hotel guests, and more. And many of the questions surrounded the additional health and safety procedures included in the parks…

…unavailable entertainment…

…modified experiences…

…and the new requirement to use the Disney Park Pass reservations upon entry.

As the survey wrapped up, the final questions had to do with purchases that we made in Disney World and how we felt about the cost of food, merchandise, and more (it’s like they know we’re obsessed with all the Halloween items in the parks right now).

Interestingly, it also asked how much money we spent in the Central Florida area — not just in Disney World.

As Disney World continues to change park hours and re-introduce entertainment, the surveys that guests are given help the parks determine their best options are moving forward. While they might take a little bit of time, you can directly influence how the parks and resorts change in the near future by filling out the surveys. How cool is that??
