Disney’s Hollywood Studios was set to reopen “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” this Fall 2024, but announced the show’s debut will now be Summer 2025.

Recent reports also stated that work is likely to begin within the next few weeks to remove the show’s old marquee. Here is a recent shot of the state of the musical’s marquee. Currently, the scrim background is being held up with zip ties. Both the billboard on the building’s facade but also the marquee are washed out and bleached from years in the Florida sunshine.

It was only this past summer that Disney was sharing behind-the-scenes peeks of the revamped musical, then everything went quiet until now.
