‘Back to the Future: The Musical’ Coming to New Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship

“Back to the Future: The Musical” will make its oceanic debut with the maiden voyage of Star of the Seas. The sailing leaves from Port Canaveral on August 31, 2025. Star of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s Icon class.

“Back to the Future: The Musical,” inspired by the 1985 film, debuted in Manchester in 2020. It moved to London’s West End in 2021. It won the Laurence Olivier Award and WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical, and was nominated for several other accolades. The show opened on Broadway in 2023 and a North American tour began in 2024. A production will open in Tokyo next year. Watch the original West End trailer:

Universal Studios Hollywood recently announced details of “Back to the Future” offerings coming to Universal Fan Fest Nights in 2025. “Back to the Future” is one of the films celebrated at the Universal Studios Florida Summer Tribute Store and Universal Mega Movie Parade. Guests can partake in their own “Back to the Future” adventure with Universal’s Great Movie Escape at Universal Orlando.
